The visionary master of gothic cinema, Tim Burton, landed last Thursday in Scala, nestled in the hills of the Amalfi Coast, accompanied by his partner, acclaimed actress Monica Bellucci.

Their helicopter arrived from Naples, and after a brief greeting, they were chauffeured in a luxury car to the historic five-star Hotel Santa Caterina in Amalfi, where a reserved suite with breathtaking sea views awaited them.

Burton’s visit isn’t just a holiday—he’s here to promote the second season of the hit Netflix series “Wednesday”, which continues to captivate millions with its dark and intriguing storyline set in the iconic Nevermore Academy.

Adding to the mystique, a black and purple hot air balloon appeared over Amalfi  with the enigmatic message: “The beauty of summer? It ends.” — a marketing stunt perfectly in line with Burton’s style that stirred excitement on social media.

Monica Bellucci, a timeless international film icon, accompanies Burton, creating a fascinating blend of European elegance and gothic fantasy. Their relationship, ongoing since 2022, is said to be grounded in shared passions for art, beauty, and mystery.

Burton is also expected to appear at the Giffoni Film Festival for a special event, where Bellucci may join him.
